Mississauga News Guest Column: Jan 31, 2007 -- Moving the City of Mississauga Forward
Mississauga's six MPPs have played an activist role in health care, education and other growth issues, but now it's time to eliminate the Toronto Tax, and time for the feds to make good on their pledge to address the fiscal gap so that Ontario (and Mississauga) can keep some of their tax revenue working for them right here.
Who do I contact on an issue about non-profit housing?
The Region of Peel has jurisdiction over the allocation of Peel Region's non-profit housing units. Each Misissauga City Councillor also sits on Peel Regional Council. If your issue concerns access to non-profit housing, contact your Mississauga City Councillor.
How can I contact my Mississauga city councillor?
A listing of Mississauga Councillors can be found on City of Mississauga website. The riding of Mississauga Streetsville includes most of Ward 9 (Pat Saito); half of Ward 10 (Sue McFadden), and most of Wards 11 (George Carlson); and Ward 6 (Carolyn Parrish).
I have a dispute with my neighbour. How can I find help to resolve it?
Before you get involved in a civil action (i.e. you and/or your neighbour start suing each other), contact the Peel Community Mediation Service at the Inter-Cultural Neighbourhood Social Services, (905) 273-4884.
